LIVE ONLINE TRAINING SESSION
“Why don’t they just leave?”
If you have ever heard, or asked, this question, this course is essential.
Coercive control is one of the most misunderstood, overlooked, and damaging forms of abuse. It can erode autonomy, safety and identity.
In this powerful half-day course, you will learn how to recognise the tactics used by abusers to dominate, isolate, and entrap their victims and how to respond with insight, clarity and care.
You will also come away from the session with:
- The ability to spot red flags and patterns that others miss
- Practical skills to help people name their experience and begin the path to safety
- Confidence in making referrals and signposting to the right services
- A trauma-informed lens for safe, non-judgemental responses to disclosure
- The insight to challenge harmful myths and change the conversation, professionally and publicly
The course is much more than theory. You will take part in interactive activities, guided discussion, and live case analysis to bring the learning to life. Whether you’re new to the topic or looking to deepen your expertise, this session offers a dynamic, reflective space to challenge assumptions, sharpen professional judgement, and leave with practical tools you can use straight away.
