Supporting Young People Suffering From Domestic Abuse

This half day course looks at young people’s experiences with, and the impacts of, domestic abuse, and how professionals can help them. This course is suitable for professionals working with children and young people and who are involved in multi-agency partnerships.

By the end of the course participants should:

  • Have increased knowledge of the definition of domestic abuse in relation to age
  • Have increased knowledge of the risk to young people
  • Be able to challenge some myths regarding young people and domestic abuse
  • Understand the impacts on young people experiencing domestic abuse and how to assess the risk to them using the DASH risk assessment tool
  • Be aware of what support networks are available to young people.

The course costs £35 and you will have the option to pay using a Debit or Credit card after registering. You will also be given the opportunity to request an invoice at this stage if you prefer. All invoice requests must be received within 7 days of registration, otherwise your place will be cancelled.
