Rural Review – Domestic Abuse and Polish and Romanian communities living rurally (Online webinars for Professionals)

14th December 2023 | 12:00 pm - 12:40 pm

Free

In Rural North Yorkshire, Polish and Romanian communities face additional barriers accessing support services.  This is exacerbated if they are living rurally.  Rurality, isolation and language barriers can increase the risk for people impacted by domestic abuse.  We will discuss the support available and how we work with our partners POMOC to ensure support is available.

Session Outcomes;

  • Challenges faced by Romanian and Polish Communities
  • What support is available through POMOC
  • Overview of service – how POMOC are supporting Romanian and Polish communities where there is domestic abuse

We have limited places and it is therefore important that you only register for a course if you intend to attend. If you are unable to attend your course for any reason, you must unregister so someone else can take your place. IDAS will report repeat incidents of non-attendance to your direct report.

We operate a three strikes policy and non-attenders who miss three sessions will be blocked from registering for future IDAS training.
