Rural Review – Domestic Abuse and Accessing Legal Support in Rural Areas (Online webinars for Professionals)

January 11 | 12:00 pm - 12:40 pm

Free

Accessing legal support can be challenging, particularly for people living rurally.  Domestic abuse victims often need to seek advice to assist them with protective orders or child arrangement proceedings.  We work closely with our partner to ensure support is available and will be joined by Citizens Advice Law Clinic for this webinar.

Session Outcomes;

  • Understand the need for victims of domestic abuse to be able to access legal support
  • How to access CAB, and IDAS rurally, including rural bus
  • Overview of the work Citizen’s Advice Law Shop are doing rurally

We have limited places and it is therefore important that you only register for a course if you intend to attend. If you are unable to attend your course for any reason, you must unregister so someone else can take your place. IDAS will report repeat incidents of non-attendance to your direct report.

We operate a three strikes policy and non-attenders who miss three sessions will be blocked from registering for future IDAS training.
