Bite-size live interactive course
When a relationship ends, the abuse often doesn’t. Stalking and harassment are terrifyingly common for victims of domestic abuse, yet still frequently misunderstood, minimised, or misidentified as unwanted contact rather than a serious pattern of threat and control.
his course gives the tools to recognise stalking behaviour, understand its link to domestic abuse, and act quickly to protect those at risk. You’ll explore real-world examples, legal definitions, and the profound psychological toll stalking takes on victims, especially when the perpetrator is someone they once trusted.
You’ll leave with the knowledge and confidence to assess risk, document appropriately, and refer on to specialist services, with victim safety and trauma-informed practice at the centre.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Identify the signs and patterns of domestic stalking and harassment
- Understand the legal framework, including relevant legislation and orders
- Assess risk confidently and recognise escalating behaviours
- Support victims with sensitivity and awareness of trauma
- Refer and signpost to stalking-specific support and safeguarding pathways
When abuse continues beyond the relationship, your response can be the difference between fear and safety.
